iSpeak on Funding Iraq War vs. Healthcare
No, Mr. Spitzer-Bush. You are in a people business, but it seems like you have no compassion for people. If you think about it, there are more of us than those who are with you.
Cleveland Barnes Cook Morningside House Nursing Home The Bronx, NY State: New York | God's Treasures One day I was walking in the woods. was hearing God speaking. He told me to pick up the stones under my feet. I asked why? God said the stones would make me happy and sad. I didn't understand so I picked up a few. In the morning God told me to check out the stones I shook my pants out. The stones fell to the floor the stones were changed to rare gems and jewels. Happy and sad, God? I asked. God said happy yes because you have the rare gems sad because you didn't pick up more. Many people you know are stones. As you treasure them they become gems. Timothy McAuliffe Pharmacy tech St. Vincent’s Hospital NYC | As stated in our emergency Delegates meeting, we must educate ourselves, then our chapters and communities. Let the NYS Senate and Assembly and the US Congress know what we feel about cutting Medicaid and Medicare cuts. Educate the entire country on universal healthcare. Remind Mr. Bush what happen in Vietnam. How many lives were lost, and how much it cost. To my best estimation, my generation finished paying for that conflict. Right now my children, grandchildren will have to pay for the stupidity of President Bush his administration. Could any educated politician tell me why we arein Iraq? Don't tell me for the liberation of Iraq or Sadam Hussein. Patrick Alleyne Woodcrest Rehab Res HCC Queens, NY | I agree. The money that we spend in Iraq should be for health care and education. Bring back our troops. That was a personal problem between Hussein and Bush family. If Bush wants a war, spend his own money and send his two daughters to the fight.Jose Quispe CNA Beach Terrace Long Beach, NY | Not only do the cuts mean a loss of jobs, and they also compromise quality care. They will also affect all families in one way or another, in this double income society. Who will help you take care of your mother, father or grandparent when you need to go to work? Not all of us can afford private care. Hell, we can't afford daycare for our children. Gail Cook LPN Guilderland Center NirsomgHome Guilderland, NY | | I think it is wrong to send more of our boys and girls over there to be killed and maimed. We will never win this war against those fanatics. Erica Gross Retired member Long Island Jewish Hospital New Hyde Park, NY |
