1199SEIU and Local 32BJ SEIU announced their joint endorsement of Gustavo Rivera for State Senate in New York's 33rd Senatorial District. From New Jersey to New York’s Capital Region, 1199SEIU Delegates are Sworn into Office

Last week, 1199SEIU activists from Southern New Jersey to New York’s Mohawk Valley were sworn in as Union Delegates by President George Gresham and Secretary-Treasurer Maria Castaneda. They were elected at their workplaces in the spring by their 1199 SEIU co-workers and took their oaths at Delegate Assemblies in Iselin, New Jersey on July 14th and in Albany, New York on July 15th.

Capital Region Nursing Home Workers Win Their Contract

It wasn’t easy, but more than a hundred 1199SEIU members at Guilderland Center Nursing Home in New York’s Capital Region have a new contract. The settlement not only maintains the workers’ current healthcare benefits, but also the employer agreed to the necessary increases that will keep the 1199 Upstate Pension Fund secure.

Long Island Labor Leadership Class Goes to Albany
