From the League Contract Summary of Selected Articles
- Employees in technical and professional job classifications, except MSW Social Workers are entitled to four weeks vacation per year. After twenty-five years of service they are entitled to five weeks vacation per year.
- Employees in MSW Social Worker job classifications are entitled to twenty-two days per year vacation and five weeks vacation after twenty-five years.
- Employees in all other classifications are entitled to two weeks vacation per year; after five years of service, four weeks of vacation per year; and after twenty-five years of service, five weeks of vacation per year.
- Choice of vacation time among Employees is determined by classification seniority.
- Vacations must be taken each year and may not be carried-over from year to year.
- Vacation pay is based upon an Employee’s regular pay.
- Employees with one to five years of service who are absent due to illness, maternity leave or injury for five weeks or less are entitled to their full annual vacation. Employees with more than five years of service may be absent up to thirteen weeks for illness, maternity leave or injury and still receive their full annual vacation.
- Involuntary absences that go beyond the five or thirteen weeks above will result in a reduction in an Employee’s annual vacation entitlement.
- All voluntary absences will result in reduction of an Employee’s annual vacation entitlement.
