From the League Contract Summary of Selected Articles

  • Employees will receive an increase in their base weekly rate of three percent effective June 1, 2004, May 1, 2005, June 1, 2006 and July 1, 2007. The effective dates of the wage increases may be some months later than the dates above in certain institutions due to previous later expiration dates.
  • During the first year of employment, Employees shall receive three percent less than the minimum weekly rate for their classifications and during the probationary period shall receive twenty dollars per week less than the above reduced rate. After one year of employment no Employee shall receive less than the minimum rate for his/her rate,
  • Employees when required to work at a higher level unionized job shall be paid at the higher rate after performing the higher level job for a total of five days in each contract year.
  • The term regular pay when used in the contract includes shift and specialty differentials, but not overtime or on-call pay.
  • Employees whose jobs include experience steps shall receive credit for recent, relevant hospital or nursing home experience in the same job in determining the proper step.
  • If the Employer establishes a new job classification or substantially changes an existing job classification the Union has the right to negotiate a wage rate for the new job.
