1199SEIU Massahusetts was formed out of the merger of the former SEIU Locals 2020 and 9 with 1199SEIU in October 2005. The Massachusetts Division represents over 12,000 members—including 1,400 RNs. Our members work in hospitals, nursing homes and health clinics throughout Massachusetts. Our members are found throughout Massachusetts, including 6,000 in Greater Boston, 3,000 on Cape Cod, and many more members rest in Western and Central Massachusetts and on the North Shore.
